On October 6, 2026, the Salesian Sisters at St. Joseph’s Provincial Center in Haledon, New Jersey, received a grant from City Green to support the beautification and environmental enrichment of the property.
Through the grant, the Sisters received three Pagoda Dogwood trees, which will enhance the grounds while providing valuable resources for local wildlife. Their spring blossoms will attract pollinators, while their berries will provide food for birds and Azure butterflies.
St. Joseph’s Provincial Center, located at 655 Belmont Avenue, frequently welcomes international Sisters who admire the beauty and care of its grounds. The addition of the three trees will further enrich the property while supporting local biodiversity.
The Salesian Sisters are grateful to City Green for its commitment to environmental stewardship, the beautification of Passaic County, and programs that encourage community collaboration. Through this partnership, the Provincial Center’s grounds will continue to flourish as a welcoming and vibrant space for both people and wildlife.
