The Salesian Sisters came to Marrero in 1979 and administer both the Immaculate Conception Elementary and High School. The Elementary School offers classes for boys and girls from Pre-K – 8th grade and currently has a 940-student enrollment. Immaculata High School offers classes for girls from 9th through 12th grade and has an enrollment of 440 students. The students who attend the Immaculate Conception Parish schools are from the West Bank and local Parish areas of Louisiana.
