June 6, 2009:

"It is with sadness I write that our beautiful Sister Virginia D’Alessandro has left this earth for her new home in Heaven at 12 noon today. Truly, we all admit that she was our Angel here on earth.

Presently I do not know about arrangements. We join in prayer for her."

“We, Salesian Sisters, commit ourselves to the new evangelization of youth. Impelled by our charism, we evangelize by educating. We open up new ways for the education of the young, deepening within them an attitude of respect for the dignity of the human person and an openness to life in all its forms. We commit ourselves to a community lifestyle which is simple, poor, welcoming, and able to create a new educative presence among poor youth.”
