St. Joseph School

St. Joseph School has served the Tampa Community for the past 105 years. From its beginning under the Sisters of Holy Names to the installation of the first Salesian Sisters in 1925, St. Joseph School has educated more than 30,000 of Tampa's youth. Our parish school seeks to provide academic excellence in a Catholic setting for early childhood through eighth grade.

As a community of faith we are challenged to ensure the future of St. Joseph Catholic School for at least the next 100 years. As the Salesian Sisters prepare to celebrate their centenary of service in the USA (1908-2008) we commit ourselves to make St. Josephs “Star of Hope” shine bright as we

(1) Provide education for students thru financial aid.
o Sr. Wilma Sanchez Scholarship fund established 2001

(2) Provide shelter from intense sun and rain of Tampa.
o Open air pavilion and sports fund

(3) Provide a state of the art kitchen and cafeteria.
o Renew the 47 year old kitchen and equipment
o Provide new cafeteria furniture

(4) Provide for better lighted and safe restrooms.
o Renew restrooms in the cafeteria, classrooms, and outdoors

(5) Provide new technology and teaching tools.
o Upgrade computers/ software/ peripherals

(6) Provide emergency unrestricted fund.
o Maintenance of programs and facility

(7) Provide appropriate preparation for High School.
o Create a science room/ lab, computer room and music room
